Why are your natural teeth so strong, durable, and dependable? Those were questions that were undoubtedly asked when dental implants were first created. Apparently, one of the answers was that natural teeth have roots, and so do our Bardonia dental implants. As the technology has improved over the years, the ability to place them with a greater degree of comfort and reliability has increased to a surprisingly higher level. At the dental practice of Louis S Sinatra, DDS, you can enjoy the experience of a new tooth that looks, feels, and acts like a real one.
The first step in getting our Bardonia dental implants is to come in for an examination and consultation. You’ll have appropriate testing done so that a determination can be made about whether you are a good candidate for an implant. One qualification is that your jaw bone must be strong and thick enough to support the root portion of your new tooth. If not, you can get bone grafting done to remedy the situation and set you on the right track. The placement of the root, which is actually a titanium post, is done surgically. Your jaw tissue grows around the post, ultimately fusing with it. With a root in place, the next phase is to take impressions that the dental lab can use as a blueprint for making the crown that serves as the tooth component. Placing the crown on top of the post and cementing them together completes our Bardonia dental implants.
There is good reason to believe that you can get a lifetime of use out of your new tooth if you take good care of it. You certainly should expect to get many years of having a complete smile, along with the ability to speak and chew with full confidence. So don’t wait any longer. Fill that empty space that used to hold a tooth. Contact our office to book an appointment.
